Intensive care unit – part 1

I was given just local anaesthetics for the thoracic drain. The doctor was nice and telling me all what he was doing. However, when I came back to the intensive care, the nurses were more than confused how the system I was given by the doctor, worked. First operation – part 1

Information – this is what people miss most here. You get to know that you are going to be operated and the name of your diagnosis, but nothing is explained to you. Of course, when a doctor says to you that everything is going to be ok, only a few of us are interested in what the whole health problem is about. Mostly we are just lucky that we are going to be ok again. In my case the problem was discovered too late, and also I was struggling with the system a lot. Weiterlesen

This is my Story

Spinal cord injuries belong to one of the most serious and they can change your life within one second. The way how your life is changed depends on which part of your backbone was injured. However, I would say that more important is what you can do about it. I think it is good to always remember the following: There is a relation between your body and your mind which can create conditions under which it is possible to be well again. The way how to achieve this, or at least to improve your life, is productive life style. Weiterlesen
